Scenario
Currently, there's no way to easily default slicers to the first/top value, which means you have to either hardcode into reports or do some kind of data work to "invent" a default value. This creates a lot of excess work and often isn't worth the effort to create/maintain at scale in reports with lots of slicers vs. doing other work.
Feature Request
It would be great if slicers had option to default to the first/top data value. In cases where slicers have sort applied, this would grab first sorted record.
This would make it easier to improve report performances on initial loads by defaulting to specific values and would also let devs customize user experience more easily and in a data-driven way. This has lots of applications including surfacing:
1. Most recent date value for period-based reporting.
2. First client in client list.
3. Top item based on priority (work items, projects, analysis scenarios)
