Use case: rolling out SharePoint with Power BI reporting; SQL Server is hosted by ERP provider with data security setup by ERP username which is extendable to include our AD/SharePoint user names; direct query is being used to enforce ERP security during the database queries; SQL Server access is setup to use basic authentication with a SQL login with rights to all relevant views (if no ERP application security is to be enforced) and functions (if application security is to be enforced) to support desired Power BI reporting; current user AD/Sharepoint information is needed to pass on function calls to tie together current user with their already established ERP application data security.
I'm stuck without being able to access the current user's credentials and pass them through with the function call.
