Add SQL Server on VM DB (CDC) source to an eventstream

We have a SQL Server running on a VM.

We’ve created an Event Stream and are attempting to connect it to the SQL Server (CDC) database on the VM. However, we're encountering the following issue.

Has anyone faced a similar problem or have any suggestions on how to resolve it? We’ve already tried allowing all IPs and have reviewed all firewall settings.

We’ve also run the prerequisites outlined in the documentation (EXEC sys.sp_cdc_enable_db;), but we’re still receiving the following errors:

If that VM is in a location where the Fabric service cannot see it directly then you need to use a gateway.
