Hi,
I believe the consumption of an eventhouse is more optimized than the consumption of a database, am I right?
How to I convert an existing Kusto database to an eventHouse ?
Kind Regards,
Dennes
Hi @DennesTorres ,
Converting a Kusto database to an Eventhouse within Microsoft Fabric involves a few steps.
1. You would start by navigating to the admin portal and searching for Eventhouse settings.
2. In your workspace homepage within Real-Time Intelligence, you would select 'New' and then 'Eventhouse'.

Hi,
These two steps are to create an eventhouse.
But I'm talking about converting an existing Kusto database, which already has data to be part of an eventhouse.
Kind REgards,
Dennes
Hi @DennesTorres ,
I apologize for misunderstanding your point. There is no direct way to convert an existing KQL database, you can try to create a new event stream and then destination select an existing KQL database and then create a new KQL data source and then click "Get Data" and then select the event stream.

Hi,
You mean, create a new eventhouse, and in the eventhouse, use an eventstream with the old kusto database as a source?
I don't think the old kusto database is a possible source in an eventstream, only a destination.
I'm planning to do a transfer with a data pipeline, I think it will work.
Kind Regards,
Dennes
