My company has connected the data to power bi using Rest API: Jason
Can you tell me what type of data soure is it?
what type of connection?
What the cons & pros of it?
what is the differenece between it and import , direct quiery ?

JSON is a standard for representing and exchanging data, refer to these sites
If you are using a JSON API then you need to make HTTP requests with Power Query, just like entering a URL into your browser, and the API will return data in JSON format.
In terms of Pros and Cons,it can be a bit more difficult to transform JSON data into a usable format if it is nested in multiple levels, compared to a flat data structure.
The data returned by a JSON API will be imported to PQ, DIrect Query is used for getting real time/up to date data as the data isn't copied into PQ, it is read from the source every time.
