direct query to Snowflake from Power BI Report Builder without using datasets/semantic models
I am trying to access Snowflake cloud ruuning Direct Query from Power BI REPORT Builder without any usage of semantic models/datasets and I do not want to use the ODBC option either.
I'd like to be able to connect to Snowflake and running in Direct Query mode just like Power BI Desktop.
Is this possible?
Because I am getting "Invalid Credentials.(Session ID:cb6885d6,....gfggeewhhh, Region:us)

After thorough investigation, this feature is currently not available in Power BI Report Builder. You can use ODBC to connect to Snowflake. Here are the steps to do so:
1. Open Power BI Report Builder and click on "Data Sources" in the "View" tab.
2. Click on "Add" to add a new data source.
3. Select "ODBC" as the data source type.
4. Choose the appropriate ODBC driver for Snowflake and click "Next".

6. Select the database and schema you want to connect to and click "Finish".

Hi , Is this feature to connect with direct query to Power Bi Desktop is also not available? Is it a limitation from snowflake side or Power bi desktop side ?
