Many thanks for your inputs. But as stated above, I m not looking to buy Power Apps or any other tool. Instead I want to develop a solution for achieving the write back functionality to snowflake without puchasing any third party visuals.

Looking for some more options

Hi @gaurav_khare ,

I can highly recommend the accoPLANNING visual for writeback from Power BI. You can get it from the App Store (search for accoPLANNING and click on the blue icon in the search result). But the only connection type it supports is Azure SQL Database (or any other flavor of Cloud SQL Server like Azure VM or Synapse dedicated pool). So you need to subscribe to at least a small Azure SQL Database and then build your own pipeline to get the data into Snowflake.

The visual is more suitable for entering fact data like budget planning and less suitable for maintining master data (although there are also tutorials around for that).

Hey thanks @Martin_D for suggesting this tool. I will discuss abt this option with my peers. Meanwhile, is there any other option for e.g through C# or via some APIs which can help us in attaining this write back functionality to snowflake.

If you want enter data in Power BI you need some kind of custom visual. The most out of the box solution might be a custom-built Power App. There is a visual to show a Power App in the default visuals toolbox. And you can even connect to Snowflake directly from Power Apps: https://www.snowflake.com/blog/microsoft-power-platform-connector/?lang=de#:~:text=Seamless%20data%2....

With accoPLANNING one month is free trial If you want to build a prototype.
