Hello everyone,
I've been googling this for a while but can't find what I'm looking for, perhaps I'm not calling it properly.
I want to display the live activity on our website.
Let's say we have at the moment 200 products online, I would like to visualize them on a 10x20 grid of equal size, each square in my grid representing a product.
The visual is connected through direct query to a SQL table that registers all clicks on our website, the report page is refreshed every 1 second.
What I want to see on my 10x20 grid is, for each product (each square), the total number of clicks, which updates every second, ideally with a visual cue (e.g. a change of colour) every time a new click is recorded on our website.
I've been playing around with the treemap but the squares don't have the same size and they change position based on the number of clicks.
Any idea on how to achieve this ?
Thanks a lot for your detailed answer, unfortunately I don't think the scattered chart will do the trick. I will have a deeper look in the app store and make a proposition for a new app.
Hi @BDK ,
Please check if the scatter chart refer in the following thread can be used as an workaround...
I found a rather nice solution by using a scatter chart and aligning the "plot area" with an image that displays the matrix:
Or you can search the visual in AppSource to find the proper visual:
Find the right app | Microsoft AppSource
In addition, you can submit a new idea. It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What's more, if feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.
Best Regards
