I want to develop a Power BI Embedded SPA written in JavaScript. As a starting point, I was going get GitHub’s PowerBI-Developer-Samples working and then morph/extend the nearest sample into my requirements. The documentation suggests I need Visual Studio (2013 or later).
Question 1: Can I use VSCode instead? What benefits does the full Studio have over VCCode?
Question 2: The samples appears to use jQuery. I was hoping to develop in a framework like Vue.js. Will this cause an issue? Is it possible (and sensible!) to mix the two? I was thinking developing the main frame using Vue.js, while the lower level functions (taken from GitHub and the ‘Playground’) use jQuery. Possible? Sensible?
Many thanks
Susan
