Uploading DataSet to Power BI via REST API

Can I upload a DataSet (a DataTable for example) to Power BI via the REST API? I have data that would like to upload to a Power BI account so the owner can use Power BI to display the data they way they want. I would like to use the REST API to send the data from an automated script (C#) that runs each evening.

1. Is this possible?
2. Will an access token be sufficient to do this?
3. Would I need to register my application as a server side web app or native app if it is using the REST API?
4. Looking at the following answer posted here it looks as though I can grab the access token without having to use the ADAL library directly in my script. Soley through HTTP REST. Is this true?
