UpdateReportContent API and Dashboards

In my software I am using the UpdateReportContent API endpoint to update published PBIX's with updated content, this allows us to maintain the same report Id for our embedded report.

 

There seems to be a problem with Dashboards, once a report is updated using UpdateReportContent, if the tabs change then the Dashboard shows the wrong content (wrong tab). Is there a way to refresh/update the dashboards afterward so they do not do this?
