Hi, With Microsoft Access being very slowly phased out, does anyone know if Power BI will be discontinuing support for connecting to Access databases?
Solved! Go to Solution.
HI @Anonymous,
I check the release plan of the power bi platform and data source support list but not found them mention to remove the support of MS Access data sources. So I think you not need to worry about this scenario recently. (power bi will add the notice if they want to change the supported data source types)
Microsoft Power Platform: 2020 release wave 2 plan
BTW, even if they stopped support of access data source, you can migrate your source data to another type of data source. Then you can change the backend query table connections to rebuild a 'new data source' version of the report. (notice: they need to have the same data structures)

Xiaoxin Sheng
