Getting this rather unusual error;
Data source error: The credentials provided for the PowerPlatformDataflows source are invalid. (Source at PowerPlatformDataflows.). The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: Computers.
Cluster URI: WABI-AUSTRALIA-SOUTHEAST-redirect.analysis.windows.net
Activity ID: cda09977-ea05-41ca-a208-d4217e75071f
Request ID: 9684747a-c7a4-fbe4-b5b6-ee375a43997d
Time: 2024-01-08 03:01:06Z
The source of this table in the error is a local SQL Server.
The connector is up to date and current.
The account used is licensed correctly.
The error only occurs once published and works perfectly fine in the desktop Power Bi app.
Im stumped and have looked up similar problems on the forum but nothing has provided a workign solution.
Hi @James_NZ ,
You can check the link below that had the same error and got it resolved:
Solved: Re: Strange Error - The credentials provided for ... - Microsoft Fabric Community
You can also check to see if the credentials and privacy levels are the same in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Services, if the credentials are different then an error may occur.
Click on Semantic models settings to see if the credentials are out of date, it may be that the username and password used to log in to the data source are not up to date, select Edit credentials to update the credentials for the data source.

Hi Liu Yang,
Thank you, i had already come accross that post but the repair was not helpful for this situation.
I had also tripple checked the authentication was successful.
i have managed to look into it further this morning to see what the Sign in logs stated about the Authentication attempt (Suspecting Conditional Access but this checked out) and found the attached fault next to successful attempts.
Seems to just be a specific failure from Power Bi, any thoughts?
