Show the full report popup when the viewport is small

Hello Power BI community,
I’m facing a fairly common situation but I don’t know how to handle it, so I hope to get some support or shared experience from everyone.

Problem details:
When the visual’s viewport is small (as shown in the image below), my popup cannot be fully displayed.
Therefore, I need the popup to appear in full report screen mode when it opens. However, my project does not have a certificate, which causes some limitations.

I’m not sure if there is any alternative way to solve this problem.
Best regards.

Hi @ViDuong,

Thanks for sharing the details. The behaviour you’re seeing is expected, when the viewport is small, popups cannot automatically expand beyond the available space, and there’s no option to force them to open in full report screen mode. The certificate limitation affects embedded scenarios, but even with certificates the popup sizing would remain the same.

As a workaround, you can:

Redesign the popup content to fit within the viewport, or Use a drill-through page or bookmark navigation to simulate a popup that opens in full screen and avoids clipping.

Here are useful docs to help:
Create report bookmarks in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Drillthrough in Power BI Reports: Navigate to Detailed Insights - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Thank you.
