Hello,
I have tabular data (SQL) in a PowerBI report and one row represents an event. I would like to have a functionality that allows me to label the events as bad by clicking a button in the report. Technically the labeling would mean interaction with a backend by sending a HTTP POST request to a REST API from the report.
My idea was that I could generate the HTTP request as text for each row in SQL, for example a piece of javascript code inside HTML code. Then I would use some HTML viewer custom visual to show the HTML which would be a submit button that sends the HTTP request when clicked. However, this doesn't seem to be very easy as there are limitations in HTML viewer custom visuals, for example no script in the HTML is allowed.
Any idea how I could make this happen, with my approach or in an alternative way? Any help is appreciated.
Best regards,
Janne Lappi
Hi @Janne_Lappi ,
Based on my investigation, I didn't find a similar function in Power BI. Power BI is used for data analysis&insights and report sharing. It cannot interact with other tools and update each other's information... Later you can raise a new idea and add your comments there to make this feature coming sooner.
Best Regards
