Dear All,
I have a quick question.
We are into implementing REST API for embedding Power BI Reports in SharePoint.
My question is,
If above is implemented, will we get Role Level Security assuming the Power BI Reports are configured live with SSAS Tabular Model.
Please note, RLS is configured at SSAS end.
Every suggestion or solution is appreciated.
Thanks,
Saagar Kinja
As per me , it should Work 🙂 ![]()

It should work. Check Tutorial: Dynamic row level security with Analysis services tabular model
Just note that there are a few considerations to keep in mind when working with row level security, SSAS and Power BI.
On-premise row level security with Power BI is only available with Live Connection.
Any changes in the data after processing the model would be immediately available for the users who are accessing the report is based on live connection from the Power BI service.
