I'm having various problems with the rest api and updates.
I've created 3 datasets, one Push, one PushStreaming and one Streaming.
When I add tiles on a dashboard showing values from the PushStreaming and Streaming datasets, I can see the columns from one of the tables (I created 2 tables in each dataset) but the tiles are blank.
If I add data from the Push or PushStreaming datasets to a report and then pin to a dashboard then those tiles update correctly.
Should I be able to create a Streaming dataset using the API and then push data into a live tile? If so, is there a clear example that shows how to do this?

I may have solved it - after looking carefully at the Json being sent up when adding rows, I found that I was camel casing the data.
So I was sending up
{ "rows": [ { "timestampUtc": "2017-04-07T07:20:47.8260389Z", "intCounter": 726, "floatCounter": 952.93173610834947, "flag": false, "Label": "Label 14" } ] }
where I really should have been sending
{ "Rows": [ { "TimestampUtc": "2017-04-07T07:20:47.8260389Z", "IntCounter": 726, "FloatCounter": 952.93173610834947, "Flag": false, "Label": "Label 14" } ] }
Hopefully this is the root cause of my issues!
This is annoying - no code changes and it's now working!
Is there somewhere we can see the detailed status of Power BI services so we know whether things are working correctly?
Another update - some of my datasets are updating, others aren't.
Is there anywhere I can see log files or work out what is going on?

I think there might be some kind of log in Power BI Service, however it seems not accessible for users. You can try to submit a support ticket.
