I have a dataset that has been set up in Azure Analytics services to try and optimize the speed of the dashboard. However, I would like to try and remove all non-distinct values from a column in the dataset for my dashboard. I cannot use Power Query as this is a Direct Query model, so is there another way to do this or will I need to alter the original dataset?
Any help is very appriecated. Thank you!
Sorry for getting back to you so late but the problem I am having with this is that I have tables like
Column A | Column B | Column C
A Beta Charlie
B Grama Delta
C Roho Sigma
A Beta Delta
I would like to remove all of the values in Column A with duplicate values. So after it is done it would looks somthing like this
Column A | Column B | Column C
A Beta Charlie
B Grama Delta
C Roho Sigma
And why would A-Beta-Charlie be preferred to A-Beta-Delta ?
I would like to keep the 1st instance of column A.
Power BI does not have a concept of that. You need to bring your own sort order.
Don't need to do anything, Power BI automatically aggregates data for you, if you want or not.
Put that column into a table visual and observe that only distinct values are shown.
