Hello - I have a organization published content pack. I need to be reading the dataset to get some data that i need in my D365 CRM system. Is there a way to read it using the REST API ? I tried to access it and ended up seeing a 404 not found error
Hi @v-pn,
I'm afraid we can't do that for now. Please refer to en-us/rest/api/power-bi/datasets and vote up this idea.
Why not intergrating Power BI directly? Please refer to dev-itpro/analytics/power-bi-integration and library/dn708055.aspx#Anchor_2.
Best Regards,
Dale
Thanks Dale - so i need the ability to read the data into the CRM system and do not necessarily need to create a report here. Essentially the manual export that i do on a pbix report needs automation.
Hi @v-pn,
How about connecting to the source directly?
Best Regards,
Dale
That is not an option at the moment. I think it just circles back to a similar question asked sometime ago noting that the datasource would have multiple transformations on the data and what i see on the pbix is essentially the transformed data. It would be redundant to do the same process over again.
