REST API help

Hi all,

We have a custom application which fetches data from several other systems.

Each system has it's own API endpoint. Now we have it working that for each API Endpoint you can create a table within Power BI. However you have to setup each endpoint seperate.

Now we're investigating if it is possible to have to following situation:

A endpoint returns a table with all available endpoints:

NameEndpoint
Endpoint Ahttps://host.nl/api/v1/endpointA
Endpoint Bhttps://host.nl/api/v1/endpointB
Endpoint Chttps://host.nl/api/v1/endpointC
Endpoint D

https://host.nl/api/v1/endpointD

PowerBI will call this API endpoint and rerieves this table.

After this, we want to loop through this result and create a table with each endpoint.

It is posisble that that this table could be extended with more endpoints which should result into create more extra tables.

Is this possible and if so how/could anyone point me into the right direction?

Note: All data is returned as JSON.

Kind regards,

Pdroge

Hello @pdroge84,

At the moment, Power BI REST API does not support getting row data in dataset. You can check and vote up this idea REST API access to READ datasets to improve Power BI on this feature.

Since that, you may create the table which stores the endpoints configuration in you custom application as a workaround.

Best Regards
