Hi,
I'm developing an R powered costum visual and im having some issues with the theme settings/colorpicker not alligning propperly.
- My powerbi desktop theme is set to the default PowerBI theme.
- If I open the colorpicker in powerbi to change the color of my background (or data points) and I select one of the theme colors (1-8) the resulting collors correspond with the theme 'Classic'.
- However the theme colors that are being displayed in the colorpicker window allign with the theme 'Default'
- If I open the 'more colors' option the hex value is passed through correctly and the visual updates to the correct color.
In addition; the color picker seems to work perfectly for the general visual settings. Therefore I think defining a theme setting in the settings.ts or the visual.ts might be the easiest way forward?
But I can't seem to find documentation on theme settings for PBI custom visuals.
Sincerely,
Roy

I'm still interested if anyone knows how I can define the default theme in the custom R powered visual.
which typescript file do I need to edit?
I've read these and they dont seem to provide an explenation as to why the colors - despite being depicted as the 'default' theme in the colorpicker - return the hexcodes associated with the 'Classic' theme to my visual.
