Hi,
I'm starting to write PowerShell scripts using the REST APIs and cmdlets to pull information, but I'm having a hard time finding clear documentation on what some of the columns mean. For instance, if I use the Get-PowerBIWorkspace cmdlet or the associated REST API , it returns a column called "Type". I'm unclear on exactly what the values mean...for example "Group" vs. "Workspace". I think (?) that Group is the old style of workspaces vs. the new experience - but not 100% sure...maybe "Group" is actually the underlying Office 365 group that gets created and not the workspace itself.
How do I find documentation on this? If I look up the REST API summary for the "Get Groups as Admin" function ( https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/admin/groups_getgroupsasadmin ), it just says Type is the "Type of group". That's not helpful (at all). Is there better docs somewhere that lay out exactly what values can show up in a column, and what they mean?
Thanks!
Scott
