Power BI integration with Azure Synapse Analytics (SQL SW)

Hi everyone. Now, my company have Synapse Analytics (SQL DW) and I would like some advice on how to implement the following idea.

Idea: create the datasets that non-technical business users will consume without having to connect to the DWH, create data models, relationships, etc. So the idea is for me to create that dataset and publish it in Power BI Service so that they can load it directly already modeled.

Actually, I tried:

1. Loading the various dimension tables and one fact table (over half a million rows) into dataflow, but the update times are very long due to the fact table.
2. Load the different dimension tables in dataflow and perform DirectQuery for the fact table, but this depends a lot on the scale of the Azure Synapse Analytics group.

Could you give me an idea to perform this action optimally?
