Currently, we are setup for Power BI with Apache Ranger.
By default, Power BI should connect it successful with the credential provided in the PowerBI.
However, PowerBI can use any username and password to login to db via hive llap. Any password able to retrieve the data.
Hi @pingwkoh,
I check the power bi data connector but not found the specified apache ranger connector.
For this scenario, power bi should use web connector with correspond rest api to get data. They should work with correspond keys and tokens instead of specific credentials objects.
>>However, PowerBI can use any username and password to login to db via hive llap. Any password able to retrieve the data.
Did you mean the password field not works in the API so the authority can be verified by any random passwords? If that is the case, which API are you worked? The power bi desktop versions? Please share more detailed information to help us clarify your scenario to test.
