Power BI Rest Api - 500 Internal Server Error - GetGroupsAsAdmin

Hi all,

Two days ago I started getting "500 Internal Server Error" when using the GetGroupsAsAdmin api endpoint.

It has been working fine until two days ago ( 18th January 2021 started to fail)

The GET request is the following:

  https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/admin/groups?%24top=1

I have tried different %top values and I receive the same 500 Error until I hit %top=244. This value is changing over time, so I think that probably is related to the total number of workspaces.

We have 5028 workspaces, and we use this petition as a starting point to receive this count, handling the odata.count

Failed:

with %top=244:

Thanks in advance!

Update: Magically it is working fine again!

It would be nice to have some place to check some kind of change log BTW.

Thanks everyone!

Hi, I got the same error as you.

However, my side, the error stop when I reached top 200 (https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/admin/groups?%24top=200)

We have around 900 workspaces.

Any solutions so far?
