Plot by child level in selected hierarchy

Hi folks!  I am trying to build a dashboard for executives that allows a person to drill through a hierarchy and automatically plots or displays data according to the next level down in the hierarchy.  Referring to the below table, if a person selects North America, they should see 3 variables represented within affected charts/tables, one each for USA, Canada and Mexico.  If the person subsequently selects Mexico, they should see 4 variables represented, one each for Mexico City, Mexicali, Monterrey and Merida.  Each level of data (Continent, Country and City) is in a unique column.

We are trying to build a dynamic line chart and table that plots margin over time.  The above functionality would allow a user to drill down through the regions that are contributing the most/least margin and figure out who are the main contributors/underacheivers.  This functionality is possible on Pivot Tables but I have been struggling to recreate this functionality in Power BI.  Thanks!
