Pin Report to dashboard using Rest API

Hi All,

Do we have any APIs or any other option for pinning the visualization to the dashboard in Power BI Embedded? So that users will be able to create their dashboard. Like the option available in the Power BI service.

Hi @Anonymous ,

You may refer to this offical blog to get all rest apis about dashboard.

As far as I know, Power BI support us to clone existing tiles from other dashboards to the new dashboard. However, Power BI doesn't support us to pin visualization from reprot to the dashboard in Power BI Service, neither in Power BI Embedded.

If you use user owns data, I suggest you to let your teammates to pin visual to dashboard in Power BI Service manually.

If you use app owns data, I suggest you to pin visual to dashboard in Power BI Service manually by account which has access to that workspace.

Your demand is a good idea, while it is not supported to implement in Power BI currently.
You can vote up this idea for this function : Idea

It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.
