Passing CustomerID into Embed Report

I am trying to implement a PowerBI embedded report that feeds off of several REST API GET calls (from AWS API Gateway). Each API has a CustomerID query parameter in the URL that I currently have set to edit as a parameter in my Power BI report. Is there a way to embed the PowerBI report such that I can edit the CustomerID with the appropriate customer based on which Customer a user clicks on the report?

tl;dr: Is it possible to pass additional creator-defined variables when calling the Embedded PowerBI REST API to adjust the contents of the embedded report based on app activity?
