Hi everyone,
while writing the documentation for a project I noticed something odd:
When calling the PowerBI REST API Service for information on datasource users, the given access rights do not entirely match the MS documentation (anymore?). Or at least I feel like I'm not seeing what I used to see.
More specifically the "DatasourceUserAccessRight" should have three possible values: None, Read, or ReadOverrideEffectiveIdentity.
However, the result of my API Call shows one user having the right "Impersonate" - my question is: Are the access rights "Impersonate" and "ReadOverrideEffectiveIdentity" identical or are there any differences?
If need be, I can provide a screenshot.
Thank you in advance!
Best, Julian
