Hello Everyone,
I have a requirement in which I have to create a bar chart which shows employee count with department. When user clicks on the department specific bar it would show the employees name under that department and when the user clicks on the employee name it would open another report with detailed infromation of the employee.
Is it possible in power BI? I have tried it with dril down but it is not fulfilling the requirement of navigating user from one report to another. Any other suggestions are also welcome.
Regards

where the detailed report will be? In powerBI?..
A workaround is to create a table with all employee and a column ( or add a column in the employee's table ) with a link to their detailed report..Then you can add a table in the powerbi report where it will show up only if one emploee is selected and then the user could click this link..
But that is good when you send them to another external site and of cource you need to have one link for every employee..currently there is no way to filter dynamic the link based on the bar chart selection or open a powerbi report and pass filters in url ( except when use embeded powerbi reports in your web app )

We required this functionality. Please let me if you people have any other alternatives for this.
Can we expect this feature to be implemented in future?
@vshruti06 - You should check the Ideas area and if this idea is not present, you should submit it and solicit people to vote for the idea. My understanding is that the community plays a significant role (or at least some role) in what new features are released.
Dashboard tiles have the ability to set custom URL's to transport you from place to place but I am not aware of anything like what you describe, clicking on a bar in a visual and have it transport you to a custom location based upon that selection.
