In my custom visual, I would like to let users make changes to the data fields through clicking buttons within the visual instead of dragging the fields around while in edit mode. For instance, we can move a certain data field to the bottom in edit mode by selecting a data field => Move => To bottom, as shown in the screenshot below. Is there a way to do this with code so that I can make it an onclick event for a button?
Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!
Hi @jeffiefgf,
There are currently no APIs for manipulation of the data roles; you can only read from the dataViewMapping. This would need to be a feature request for the team to implement for you.

Daniel
