Loss of microsoft/DataConnectors GitHub issues

It looks like all issues have been deleted from the https://github.com/microsoft/DataConnectors repo. (The GitHub Issues tab has been disabled.) This is very unfortunate because it contained a lot of valuable documentation/questions and replies on custom connectors.

For example, I had the same question as this post: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/Custom-Connector-Power-BI-REST-API-Direct-Query-Support/idi-... and the response referenced a converstation in GitHub issues. One of my past colleagues who left the company also had conversations with the MS team on Direct Query support and query folding; this information would be extremely useful to me now, but there is no record of it anywhere.

Is there any way to restore this feature or provide an archive of past issues?
