Good day,

I am currently registered on Microsoft with company set up platform with they domain. All our sales staff issued with the same license.

We recently found a developer to work with our sales data for Power BI so that all staff can tracks sales. My question I need help with, if my Developer has external Micorsoft with Power BI Pro license outside of my company organization. Will they be able to share reports with all our company staff consedering his domani is outside our organization

@TK_Ngwenya Typically when you get into this situation you will need to create an account in your domain/tenant and assign a Pro license to it. They will need to use this when publishing reports into your tenant. The reason for this is that Microsoft has never provided the ability to publish reports to a tenant other than the tenant associated with the user who is currently logged in to Power BI Desktop.

Now, there is a way around this. You can provide the external user access to a workspace, such as Member. They can develop the report in Desktop. They would then access the workspace in your tenant as their user from their existing domain. They would then need to use the Upload functionality to upload their PBIX file.
