I'm embedding reports in an angular app using the javascript api and would like to pass data from the report to the app whenever I apply a filter from the filter pane, is there an event similar, perhaps, to the dataSelected event that gathers information about the filters?
For example a report has the City category in the filters pane. An user could select one of the options in that category and an event would fire, allowing us to console.log the words "{city} was selected form the category City".
Is there an event that could do this? If not how would you tackle this problem? Thank you for your time.
Any news about this topic?
I encountered the same problem and only found this workaround:
https://stackoverflow.com/a/59376659 :When a filter is applied, the report will be rendered again and rendered event will be called:
rendered - Called when a report is fully rendered. For example, if all visuals are rendered on loading report or after user interaction.
You can handle this event and get information about report, page and visual level filters applied.
