Import BPIX to Embedded Workspace Fails

Working with the new preview of Embedded Workspaces.  Unfortunately attempting to Import a pbix with data fails.

ImportState: "Failed"

With no other information or error messages.  Very simple pbix's with manually entered test data import fine, but even small 2-5MB pbix's with real data fail.  I've tried 3 different files, all very small with 1 simple report - all fail.

Any insight on how to debug this would be helpful.  I checked the Azure audit logs, but nothing there either.

Thanks,

Mike

Is this a brand new PBIX file? Can you please send me your import ID?

I wouldn't say it's brand new as I've been working on a version of it for months.  This copy has a number of tables removed and only one simple report for testing.

It has however been saved using the latest version of desktop:

Version: 2.33.4337.281 64-bit (March 2016)

Import ID sent.

What data source are you using for this file?

Json doc.  Looks something like this:

Source = Json.Document(Web.Contents("http://contoso.com/api/1.0/data/etc/?key=1234"))

Thanks. We are looking into a fix. Seems to have something to do with using a JSON datasource.
