Icons in table header

Hi,

I have a request from my client to show an icon or image on the column header for a Table. I don't see any option available in the properties.

Appreciate any advice to do this.

Thanks.

Hi @manojk_pbi,

At the moment, Power BI tables don’t support adding icons or images directly into the column headers — headers only allow text formatting.

Workarounds:

  • You can place icons/images inside the cell values using conditional formatting (e.g. based on measures).
  • If you really need decorated headers, a common trick is to overlay images or shapes above the table visual and align them with the headers (static, not dynamic).
  • For more flexibility, consider the Matrix visual with conditional formatting on values, or a custom visual from AppSource that supports richer headers

Best regards!

Hey, @manojk_pbi ,

if you find suitable emoji, you can use it as Icon.
https://emojipedia.org/ use this link to find suitable emojis.

You then paste it as normal text, like this: 🛀 💅
