How to request more data in Custom Visual with dataReductionAlgorithm = window

We have a custom visual using dataReductionAlgorithm = window but are struggling to determine how to request the next window of data via the API.  At one time there seemed to be a loadMoreData function, but it appears that this may not be available or working properly in the latest custom visual API?

 

Has anyone been able to make this work?  Thanks.
