Hello,
I have an embedded report with a simple matrix that displays a hierarchy and some formulas / numbers. In this page, I also included a button to refresh the dataset via API (outside the report).
The problem I'm facing is that occasionally, the data within the matrix gets duplicated. All the entries are displayed twice; the numbers and entries are correct but appear completely duplicated. I can't understand what might be causing this issue. Moreover, I'm unable to reproduce the problem consistently, but my clients have sent me screenshots showing the duplicated data.
Could this be related to caching? I have already disabled caching in the dataset settings, but could it be something related to browser cache? Is there any setting that can be checked in the report embedding? The embedding is done with Angular.
Thank you for your support.
Does anyone have any insight on how to handle browser cache when refreshing the dataset via API? Or could this issue be caused by something else?
Hi @Gabry ,
It is possible that when the data was refreshed, the old data was not completely deleted and new data has come in, you can tap the Visual Object Refresh button in the top right corner after a successful refresh, you can also try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser to see if the problem still exists.
Best Regards,
Liu Yang

Hi @v-yangliu-msft ,
thanks for the reply.
Here my answer:
1)the report is embedded in our application so there is no button for refresh the visuals.
2) I can't ask to customer's users to clear the cache of the browser
3)I can't really say because I can't reproduce the error but as I saw if I open it whit another browser the problem is gone.
What I'm looking for is a setup or some code I could write in the embedding to prevent this issue from happening, or any other fix that doesn't involve manual work from the end users.
Is it possible to refresh visuals via API? Additionally, I should mention that refreshing the browser is not sufficient when this issue occurs.
thanks
