Gateway for on-premise datasource and Power BI Embedded
Hello community!
So, I'm here to ask if there is a way to create a gateway to an on-premise datasource to be used with Power BI Embedded. I searched through everywhere and didn't find the answer..
Actually here's my scenary:
I have a server within Azure and there I have a SQL Server with my databases. I created a PBIX file using direct query to one of the databases, but when I embed (using the Microsoft sample) and try to access the link, there is no data! After searching, I tryed using the On-premise Data Gateway, but I think it's more used with the Gateway to Power BI Web. Is there a way to create a gateway similar with the one used there, to Power BI Embedded?
Any help is apreciated.

What does the Power BI Embedded refer to in your case? Actually there are a legency Azure Service Power BI workspace collections and a new Power BI Embedded capacity-based SKUs.
In former case, there's no specific gateway and DirectQuery mode only supports Azure SQL database and Azure SQL data warehouse. If in this case, it is not applicable for you, because you're using SQL Server in DirectQuery mode.
In latter case, the pbix files are published to service which is pretty different from the legency(upload pbix to Power BI workspace on Azure). So in this case, you can just set up gateways and use DirectQuery modes for all supported data sources.
