Hello Community
We have a PPU license and share power bi reports from PPU license to free users. As per Microsoft documentation, a free user can access reports those are in premium workspace if the role assigned to them is "Viewer". We as an organisation also have assigned free users the role as"Viewer". Free users are given a complimentary Pro license for 30 or 60 days and recently we observed that free users whose Pro trial got completed are unable to access reports in premium workspace.
Wanted to know if I'm the one facing the issue or everyone are facing it. Find the below attached screenshot from Microsoft documents for reference.
Thanks in advance !

@NetElixir Are you certain those users do not have Pro via something like an Office 365 E5 license or something like that? If they really are only Free users then them having access to a PPU workspace is the actual issue, not that free users do not have access to a PPU workspace. Again, in a standard workspace in order to share reports everyone needs Pro. In a PPU workspace, everyone needs PPU. In a true Premium capacity, free, Pro or PPU user can access reports in that workspace.
@NetElixir That does not apply to PPU. PPU is like Pro, everyone needs PPU.
I have a PPU user who deployed a report in a Workspace and then if the PPU user shares the Power BI Report link to the PRO users, they cant view it..
what should I do please help?
@MH3 Correct, if it is a PPU workspace, everyone needs a PPU license. If it is a true Premium capacity then no or the "free" license is all that is needed. If it is a normal, non-PPU and non-Premium capacity workspace then Pro is required.
@Greg_Deckler But, there are few users in our organization who does not have a pro license and they're still able to access the reports in premium workspace. Any thoughts on this please ?
