Where does the Fabric Capacity Metrics app get the data to calculate the CU % metrics? Is it possible to recreate the app using the PowerBIWorkspace Log Analytics data?
We are wondering the same thing. By all appearances the data comes from a direct query connection to
Extension{"extensionDataSourceKind":"CapacityMetricsCES","extensionDataSourcePath":"CapacityMetricsCES"}.
Yes, it looks to be a connection to a Kusto connection (using a CapacityID parameter), but I get AccessDenied no matter how I try to connect from my own Power BI file (even though I'm using the same Data Source Creditials as the Metrics app)
