Export data from Embedded reports on external web application

Hey all,

Powerbi embedded is quite remarkable--works great.  The export data capability is always on, as far as I can tell, and I'd like some control over that.  Our site will be behind a paywall and allowing wholesale data export is something I'd like to restrict.

Are there options to turn this off in embedded?

Thanks,

Tom

Being able to disable export would be a feature that we would really like to see.

@ThomasDay

AFAIK, there's no way to disable the export data behavior.

Since the data is visible, disabling the export doesn't make much case. There're still some other cumbersome ways to extract the data besides "export data". If you do have concern about data restriction, check Row level security with Power BI Embedded

This is an old thread, but I would comment that, as an ISV, if we cannot disable the export in power bi embedded, than the tool is somewhat useless because this means that anyone can download the data behind the visualizations. Imagine you are showing real estate data aggregates and now anyone can download the transactions that make up the aggregate/visualizations. That just doesn't make sense.
