Direct Query e Rest API

Hi everyone,

I would like to create, in programmatically way, a dataset that reads data from a source in Direct Query.

What are the supported sources?

Where can I find some examples for the API call:

POST https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/groups/{groupId}/datasets

to create the dataset in this way? It's necessary to use a Gateway?
