Hello,
I'm working on a report that uses Direct Query (SQL) and the report has Card visuals and is not interactive.
Refreshing each visual sends a new set of queries to the underlying source and there are many users who require access, which eventually is a significant load on the data source.
Is there a solution that can run a single instance of the report that can be viewed by multiple users?
Please consider using the Power BI terminology. There is a difference between a report and a dashboard. Direct Query is not the same as Live connection.
Dashboards are designed to be shown on a hall monitor, and they update whenever the underlying semantic model is updated. No user interaction is required. This also means that dashboards are mainly designed for import mode or push data sources.
Please describe your scenario again.
