Dashboards and workspaces

We are just starting to look into individual dashboards where some of our users want certain data from various reports presented to them at the beginning of the day.  In experimenting with pinning visuals to a dashboard, I found I cannot traverse to other workspaces and combine a visual from a report in Workspace A and a visual from Workspace B.  Is that true or am I missing something?  I would love to have the ability to have users pin different visuals from two or more different workspaces into their dashboard.  Is that possible?

Yes, that is true. No, that is not possible.
