Creating custom card

Hello all,

I have a scenario I am facing and I am reaching out for asssirance.

I am using a card as a visual and put gender as the selected column in the card to use. In the gender column, it consists of male, female, other, and unknown.

I selected under the options to choose first name and what is shown on the card is always male. When nothing is selected, the default value it chooses is male. Obviously when choice are made with different gender types, the card changes according to what is being pressed / looked at.

My question is, how can I alter the card to have it show a default value showing "gender" and then when people interact with the dashboard it will move depending on the gender used and when all options are unclicked / highlighted, the card will go back to just showing gender so people will know that specific card is related to gender.

I can't figure it out. I didn't know if I need to create a new column using some form of DAX functions etc etc.

all the help is greatly appreciated.

thank you!!

Hi @Anonymous ,

Based on your description, I can probably understand your needs.

You could try to use DAX to show or hide a Power BI Visual Based on Selection.
