Create a user input form

Hello,

Can anybody assist me how to create a user input form in report. Once user fills the form and clicks submit it has to call API 1 which generates token and by using that token it has to authorize the 2nd API and send the data to the database.

Thanks,

Sudheer

Hi @sudheerg ,

You can use Power Apps-

Power BI + Power Apps Integration (Recommended for Microsoft Stack)

1.Create a Power Apps form:

Go to Power Apps and build a canvas app form with the fields you need.

On the submit button:

Call API 1 to generate the token.

Use that token to call API 2 with the user input.

Power Apps Logic (Pseudo-code):

1. Call API 1
Set(tokenResponse, PowerAutomateFlow.Run(inputFields...));
Set(token, tokenResponse.token);

 2. Call API 2 with token
Set(api2Response,
CustomConnector.CallAPIWithToken(token, inputData));

You might need to use Power Automate (Flow) to handle the API token generation and secure API logic.

Hope this helps!
