Hi guys
I am very new to power Pi , and have years of experience with qlik .
in qlikview I am using Script to
connect to SQL SERVER
and SELECT functio to load data from the tables .
is it possible to do it by script also ?
if yes how can I do it
thanks
gidon
Solved! Go to Solution.
Yes. There are not many differences between Free & Pro Version. Everyting is same, Except limitations in uploading and sharing dashboards in PRO version have more options than Free PowerBI Service account.
Yes, You can do that in PowerBI as well.
Go to the Get Data Tab, Select SQL Server, Specify the Server & Database Name
To write custom SQL Script, Select Advanced Options, Create your Script and You would able to work with the data.
PowerBI offers flexibility in terms of connection as well. You can use either Import Mode or Direct Query mode. Just to clarify, There are some limitations in Direct Query mode.
Hope this will help you understand PowerBI features & Capabilities.
