Need help on below issue.

My Data Set :

revenue     period     --- Both are text fields.

My Comparaison is    sum ( 2018Q1, 2017Q4,2017Q3,2017Q2)   with Sum( 2017Q1,2016Q4,2016Q3,2016Q2)

Is it posiable in power BI ?

You want the differences between revenues from each quarter of this year and last years?

we are planned to compare last 12 months( sum) data with previous 12 month (sum)data,This process we need to automate. If any new data set is refreshed then we need start comparision current 12 month sum with previous 12 months sum.
