Hello,
I own a dataset that's created in Power BI Services and connected to a SSAS Cube. I'm not seeing an option to modify the connection string, hence I'm not able to test out my model from another server, without having to recreate the entire report. Is this supported on the services, or only on the desktop?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

It is not allowed to change the connection string. You could check this idea Ability to change the data source connection string from PBI service and vote it up.
AFAIK, the only way to change the connection string from Power BI Service is using the API Set All Connections, However it only works for the dataset in DirectQuery mode, not work for SSAS live connection based on my test.

@Eric_Zhang has there been any changes to this? This is critical for us to be able to update the connection string and set a value to CustomData property in the connection string for SSAS Tabular.
Got it. One of those features that the services lags behind desktop. BTW, I thought DQ is the same as Live Connection? What do you say is the difference?
